The Twenty Two

The Twenty Two hotel reception.

22 Grosvenor Square, London W1K 6LF, United Kingdom

London is not suffering from a lack of grande-dame heels, which is why relative newcomer the Twenty Two is so welcome. Located in a white Portland stone building on Grosvenor Square, it has all the convenience of its Mayfair location without the any of the stodginess. Its 31 rooms each reveal several pieces of flair; no two are alike, although all reference 18th-century design and come with some of the best marble bathrooms in town. There’s a spoiling service element, too, thanks to an abundance of friendly concierges and even butlers. The hotel’s elegant restaurant, lined in sky-blue wood paneling, is especially delicious, and London’s stylish set has been known to stay out well past its bedtime, lingering on its mustard-velvet banquettes. —Ashley Baker
