Fraternal twins Nikolai and Simon Haas imbue everything they touch, from jewelry to objects to very large sculptures, with childlike whimsy. The brothers are now transforming both the inside and outside of Dallas’s Nasher Sculpture Center, creating majestic scenes imagined under the moonlight. Visitors are greeted by two large lampposts inspired by the Haas brother’s childhood in Austin, and indoors will discover otherworldly flora and fauna, such as a cast-bronze tree speckled with illuminated blown glass strawberries. In the sculpture garden, visitors will find works reminiscent of the duo’s favorite childhood toys, and an Alice in Wonderland atmosphere. A seamless fusing of art, design, and technology, the viewer settles into the magic without needing to know how the trick was done. —Clara Molot
