Not only does Owl Bureau feature exquisite limited editions and hard-to-find art and design books, it also sells vintage periodicals. The store—housed in a former Owl Drugs pharmacy—was opened earlier this year by Richard Christiansen (founder of Chandelier Creative) and is beautifully designed by the Paris-based firm Studio KO. Christiansen and his team at Owl Bureau inspire me with their curation, especially of rare fashion books.
Arianne Phillips is a stylist who has worked with Madonna, Lenny Kravitz, and Courtney Love. Most recently, Phillips designed the costumes for Quentin Tarantino’s Once upon a Time in Hollywood, in theaters now.
