The Rolling Stones: Hackney Diamonds Tour

Mick Jagger and Keith Richards in The Rolling Stones 1972: 50th Anniversary Edition.

Until July 17

When Mick Jagger belts out the chorus of “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” to sold-out stadiums it’s hard to believe him. Jagger is 80, and his longtime bandmates Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood are 80 and 76, respectively, and yet the trio is on a three-month Rolling Stones tour across North America. Playing respectable two-hour sets to raving fans and glowing reviews, the older Stones perform with impressive vigor, even if their years of peak stamina (and hedonism) are in the past. In other words, they’re doing what they love and audiences are getting their money’s worth. On the Hackney Diamonds Tour, the band plays classics as well as recent songs from their titular 2023 album. —Jack Sullivan
