Last May, Louis Vuitton organized an iteration of its “Crafting Dreams” exhibition at a private home in Bel Air. Visitors were greeted by rooms fitted with Vuitton trunks in all their variations: party trunks, black monogram-print trunks, disco trunks. There was even a baby room, complete with Louis Vuitton pillows, plush bears, and baby clothes. A year later, a similar project is coming to a seven-story Park Avenue townhouse, built in 1926. This iteration will be more New York! Think terracotta trunks, watches paired with fine jewelry, and interiors to match. A focus on the company’s tradition of malletage—the criss-crossed padded lining inside its trunks—will be incorporated into the exhibition. —Elena Clavarino
